Publicly Released SCOAP Data
SCOAP is collecting a significant amount of information about the care of surgical patients in our participating hospitals in order to monitor and improve the quality of care... and we are pleased to report that hospitals in Washington state have made phenomenal progress in a number of areas in 2009 and 2010, as this presentation (1 MB PDF) shows.
The data being made available here for the public demonstrates very good progress in improving care over time for several of the care measures. These data will be updated regularly so that ongoing changes and improvements can be tracked, and we anticipate making data for more measures available as we move forward.
Currently, the progress slides below show data that is a sum of all of the participating hospitals' data rather than any one hospital's specific data. Only the Hospital Reports section contains links showing specific hospitals who have volunteered to release performance data to the public on selected surgical procedures performed on patients.
